Field Trip—Close Knit, PDX

At Close Knit in Portland, Earl Grey Fiber Company‘s trunk show

I decided to leave my crochet cave this weekend and take a field trip to one of my local yarn shops. As a drove by looking for parking, a line trailed out the door and down the block from Close Knit, my destination on Alberta. A Saturday morning, the line was longer than the one for Pine State Biscuits across the street. Apparently, this weekend was the Rose City Yarn Crawl. (I really should be paying attention to these things.)

I queued up and listened to the pleasant chatter about patterns and yarn covets and made it inside. This den of yarn is stocked with all fiber types in rich, pure chroma and airy gradients. I was asked many times if I needed assistance. (Boy, did I.) With great restraint, my picks for the day came from Earl Grey Fiber Company‘s trunk show/trunk table display. You can see a sampling of the lovely colors above and below.
